Dave O’Brien, ESPN play by play voice and the new TV voice of the Red Sox for NESN, joined Downtown to talk about the upcoming World Series between the New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals. O’Brien talked about whether or not Daniel Murphy would be able to keep up his hot power bat and discussed the young arms that the Mets have in the starting rotation. He also talked about the impressive bullpen for the Royals which could be a huge advantage in the later innings. O’Brien said the Royals also have an advantage with not only the home field for the series, but also the experience of playing in such high pressure situations last October.
He also mused on John Farrell’s recovery and how essential it was to keep Torey Lovullo in the mix, as well as the honor of being named the TV voice of the Sox.
