One of America’s best television critics, Alan Sepinwall, joined the show on Thursday to discuss his new book “TV (The Book)”. He describes the rubric he and partner Matt Zoller Seitz used to break an initial five-way tie for the best show in American television history. Alan discusses the wonderful family dynamic portrayed in “Friday Night Lights”, which show presented the best depiction of teens in TV history, and lets us know why “The Wire”, “The Sopranos”, “The Simpsons”, “Cheers”, and “Breaking Bad” battled it out for number one, as well as paying homage to the classic shows that paved the way for the new golden age of television.
